Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi 6 series devices including the Redmi 6, 6A and 6 Pro in India at an event held in Delhi. All these three devices run on MIUI 9 on the Android Oreo with 18:9 and 19:9 aspect ratios and the AI-powered face unlock capabilities.

Redmi 6 comes with a substantial upgrade over Redmi 5 with Helio P22 chipset and additional storage variants 3GB/32GB or 3GB/64GB. The display on the other hand display shrinks a little from last year – 5.45-inch HD+. Redmi 6 sports 2 camera system setup12MP + 5MP sensors on the back for those blurred background portrait shots. Under the hood is a 3,000 mAh battery charge that the company claims to last one full day. Redmi 6 is priced at INR 7,999 ($111) for the 32GB model and INR 9,499 ($132) for the 64GB configuration.
Next up is Redmi 6A that packs a Helio A22 chipset with 2GB/16GB or 2GB/32GB variants. The device sports a 5.45-inch display with the same HD+ resolution and delivers a good user experience with the the AI-enhanced camera features on toned-down hardware. Coming to optics, Redmi 6 A arrives with 13MP rear camera setup while front packs a 5MP sensor for selfies and video chats.. There is 3,000mAh battery under the hood and connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5 headphone jack. Redmi 6A is priced INR 5,999 ($83) for the 16GB model and INR 6,999 ($97) for the 32GB variant.
And the much exciting Redmi 6 Pro takes things up a notch. Redmi 6 Pro adopts a 5.84-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a display notch that be hidden by flipping a software switch in the resettings menu. With a Pro to its tag it is powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, coupled with an Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB/ 4GB of RAM, and 32GB/ 64GB of onboard storage.
The camera however offers same as the one present in the standard Redmi 6 – 12 MP + 5MP on the back and a 5MP sensor on the front. There is a massive 4,000 mAh battery and according to Xiaomi, it can last for two days on a single charge. Redmi 6 Pro is priced at INR 10,999 ($152) for the 3GB/32GB model and INR 12,999 ($181) for the 4GB/64GB alteration.
