CEO Pete Lau in a blog post stated, ” We want to bring the home environment to the next level of intelligent connectivity. To do this, we are building a new product of OnePlus’ premium flagship design, image quality and audio experience to more seamlessly connect the home. We call it: OnePlus TV.”
One Plus will release its first Smart TV in 2019, but the company says it will take some time to become perfect, and so the device will receive updates for the next five years, becoming more connected to your smartphone along the way. Few of the ideas of One Plus to the Smart TV include easily streaming media from your phone, kind of like Amazon’s Echo show or Google Assistant-powered displays.
The Smart TV also comes with camera setup for video calling, but Lau says OnePlus will have a solution for those concerned about privacy. In addition, it will be armed with high quality hardware, a seamless user experience and a minimalistic design. One Plus however haven’t revealed any specifications or details of OnePlus TV, since it is in early stages of its development for now.
