Gone are the days when we had brick-sized smartphones. Now sleek is in. Smartphone makers are trying new tricks to reduce the size of the phones’ hardware. If you too like thin and light smartphones, here are seven you can choose from.
Apple launched its iPhone 7 in India in October this year. The handset, being slim at 7.1mm, has a starting price of Rs 60,000. Some of the key specifications of the handset include 4.7-inch 1334×750 pixels resolution IPS LCD display, quad-core Apple A10 Fusion processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB/128GB/256GB storage, 12MP rear camera, 7MP front-facing camera and 1960mAh battery.
The big-screen variant of Apple’s latest iPhone, iPhone 7 Plus, is the company’s first smartphone to feature a dual-rear camera setup. Its slim at 7.3mm and comes at a base price of Rs 70,000.
The smartphone’s key features include 5.5-inch full-HD display, quad-core Apple A10 Fusion processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB/128GB/256GB storage, dual 12MP rear cameras, 7MP front-facing camera and 2900mAh battery.
Vivo V3 was launched in India along with the V3 Max smartphone in April this year and is among the slimmest handsets available in India. Slim at 7.5mm, the smartphone currently costs Rs 17,980.
Some key specifications include 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) LCD display, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor, 16GB/32GB inbuilt storage and 2550mAh battery.
Vivo V5 is the Chinese company’s latest smartphone in the Indian market. Priced at Rs 17,989, the handset is slim at 7.5mm. It features a 5.5-inch HD display, octa-core MediaTek MT6750 SoC, 4GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage, 13MP rear camera, 20MP front-facing camera and 3000mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge entered in India in March this year and is currently available at Rs 50,000. The handset is 7.7mm thin. The flagship handset sports a 5.5-inch Super Amoled QHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor/Exynos 8890 SoC, 4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB inbuilt storage, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera and 3600mAh battery.
Moto Z is the company’s latest flagship smartphone. It costs Rs 39,999 and measures 5.19mm. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch QHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera and a 2600mAh battery.
Another Chinese smartphone in the list, ZTE Blade V6 was launched alongside the Axon Mini earlier this year. The smartphone is thin at 6.8mm and costs Rs 9,999. The handset includes a 5-inch HD display, quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera and 2200mAh battery.
